Over 55 years ago, when SCAPA's 'spirit' Arlette Van Oost found herself stranded on the Orkney Islands. There, she fell in love with the harsh, beautiful nature and the open mentality of its people. Inspired by the work of local knitters, she laid the foundation for an authentic Belgian fashion brand.
SCAPA quickly made its mark with its casually chic silhouettes that exude comfort and quality. And above all: timelessness. Gaining mainstream recognition with hand-knitted sweaters, checkered woolen patterns, and durable, high-quality fashion items, SCAPA became a British Vogue regular in the 90s.
